The Sheraton Mirage, a global brand resort just north of Cairns is looking to hire a Commis Chef for the upcoming peak season. Don’t miss this opportunity to work at a deluxe resort on the famous Four Mile Beach. Nestled between the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest, this property is an oasis of luxury designed for the most discerning clients.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
• Prepare in a practical manner, hot and cold food under the direct supervision of a Chef de Partie or Chef in charge.
• Assist in food requisitions.
• Taste and examine food prepared for freshness and quality.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the individual menu items including basic ingredients, method of preparation and presentation standards.
• Replenish food stock as required.
• Responsible for minimising food wastage.
• Responsible for food preparation and presentation as directed by the Sous Chef.
