Job Title: Marketing and Administration Assistant
Pay: $1500 AUD per month (Internship Stipend)
Where: Melbourne, Australia
Start Date: Feb 2016
Duration: 6 months


We are currently seeking a Marketing and Administration Intern for one of Australia’s biggest exporting specialists.

Primary duties:

  • Conduct marketing activities to prospects in relation to grants or consulting offers
  • Conduct campaign preparation and coordination according to agreed methodology
  • Maintain mail chimp and coordinate mail blasts as directed
  • Coordinate preparation and posting of blog postings
  • Coordinate telephone follow-up activity post mail out campaigns
  • Conduct research of prospects prior to meeting to pitch for work
  • Assist with preparation of proposals, reports and miscellaneous research
  • Coordinate with clients needs in relation to supporting the Business Advisory function of Treadstone.
  • Conduct research on clients as directed
  • Capturing and recording discussions from meetings or workshop sessions
  • Assist with writing case studies to use as marketing references
  • Build on established data bases for lead generation activities.

Other duties:

  • Attend client meeting and take notes and assist with coordinating proposals and grant applications
  • Contact past clients and obtain feedback and solicit referrals
  • Conduct calls to targeted small businesses to promote the consulting offer and book meetings
  • Assist in devising marketing campaigns to promote consulting offer
  • Assist with data collation and market research
  • General marketing and communications activities and other activities as required

Ideal Candidate:

  • Exceptional listening, comprehension and writing skills
  • Ability to listen and write succinctly and effectively simultaneously
  • Background or experience in marketing communications and research
  • Comfortable working in an environment that is highly autonomous
  • Ability to work independently without constant supervision
  • Good time management skills, ethics, etiquette and punctual
  • Must have a business degree and 2 yrs. work experience
  • Interest in International relations, Economics, Business Development, Business Administration and marketing and sales
  • Comfortable with constantly engaging with new people
  • Knowledge or education in commercialization an advantage
  • Friendly, independent and outgoing by nature
  • Willingness to attend occasional networking event
