As the US Department of State celebrates 75 years of promoting international exchange programs with their #ExchangesAre hashtag; AAG is proud to share the story of three Peruvian J-1 Summer Work Travel participants who exemplify these programs. Joselin, Karla, and Sophia recently took time out to visit the Parker Elementary School in Galveston and spoke with frist and second-grade students and their teachers about their Peruvian culture.

The 3 young ladies gave a presentation, had a Q+A session with the students and even passed out Peruvian souvenirs to the students who could answer questions correctly. After their presentation, the J-1 participants were treated to a tour of the school and volunteered alongside AAG staff to clean the schools flower beds and plant flowers.

This is a great example of how #ExchangesAre making a difference every day here and abroad.
